If you hate golf games, don't write this one off just yet. Golf Zero is more similar to games like Super Meat Boy than it is to Hot Shots Golf. While the gist of the game is to safely transport your ball to the hole, there's a whole array of spikes and monsters waiting to do you in along the way. It's tough stuff. Here are a few tips to help you guide your little golf buddy home.

Keep physics in mind

When performing jump shots, remember that physics still apply. Even though you slow down for a time, you're technically going full speed in reality. Adjust for this when aiming your shots. That might mean avoiding sharper angles when hitting the ball, or acting pre-emptively to get the perfect shot.

Use your momentum

You can use the momentum you gain from running to propel the ball forward. Use this when trying to make tricky shots and you'll come out swinging.

Learn how to use your environment

You need to have sharp aim to succed in this game, yes, but you should also be using the environment to your advantage. It takes some creativity, but take a close look at each level and see which walls are best for climbing, or whether you should aim your ball at that spring board or bounce bodily off it yourself. This may take some trial and error, but it's one of the best ways to decipher Golf Zero's tricky puzzles.

If you're having a hard time with the game, never fear. Sometimes in games of this nature, the best way to learn is by dying over and over as you learn from your mistakes. The above tips should help make that path a bit easier.
