App Description
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner exam. As a neonatal nurse practitioner , you may work in neonatal intensive care units taking care of acutely ill neonates and premature infants or you may choose to work in mother-baby or newborn nurseries taking care of healthy newborns. Candidates should be able to apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology (maternal, fetal, transitional, newborn), pathophysiology, pharmacology, nutrition, and behavioral psychology to assess the neonate and differentiate abnormal from normal.
Based only on specifications from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses core curriculum. The review course covers;
General Assessment and Management, Assessment of Fetal Well Being, Adaptation to Extrauterine Life, Neonatal Resuscitation, Gestational Age Assessment, Thermoregulation, Fluid and Electrolytes, Nutrition Management, Developmental Support, Radiographic Evaluation, Pharmacology , Pathophysiology , Pulmonary Disorders , Cardiovascular Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders ,etabolic,Hematologic,Neurologic, Endocrine Disorders, Renal and Genitourinary Disorders, Genetics , Immunological Disorders and Infections, Dermatologic Disorders, Auditory and Opthalmologic Disorders, Maternal-Fetal Complications , pain, substance abuse, Extremely Low Birth Weight Infant, research, legal, ethical, family crisis, Discharge Planning and Transition to Home Care.
