Lexica Vol. 3 contains The Tomes, MasterSwords, Shelf Life and Terribone. Play them through this bundle or launch them from The World of Lexica™.
LEXICA VOL. 3 WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE AN AMPLIFY LOGIN AND LICENSE PROVIDED BY A SCHOOL. You can download the app without a login, but you will not be able to use the app without a valid Amplify login. Educational institutions can contact Amplify for more information.
Shelf Life
Shelf Life is an action puzzle game in which players walk across sentences and overcome obstacles by combining words. The game offers players close reading practice and expands their vocabulary with fun, challenging puzzles.
The Tomes
The Tomes is a create-your-own-adventure series that focuses on vocabulary and features characters from classic literature. Its evocative social dynamics, similar to those found in hit games such as Surviving High School, appeal to middle-school students. The Tomes incorporates progressively more difficult vocabulary into a relatable story and allows players to move at their own pace. Players can tap words to access in-context definitions and listen to pronunciation. The adventure is interspersed with mini-games that motivate players to look up word meanings.
Play The Tomes in English or Spanish! The Spanish version features the same gameplay, story and choices as the English version with Spanish text and vocabulary. Players can toggle between Spanish and English at the start of each episode.
In all five chapters, players' decisions affect how the story develops.
MasterSwords
MasterSwords is a game where words are players’ weapons as they battle zombies, goblins and other unsavory creatures. Journey through whimsical environments collecting cool gear and delivering taunts using the words they spell. Players will build mastery of syntax, parts of speech and semantics.
Terribone
In this syntax game set on an archaeological dig, players match bones containing subjects and predicates to form complete sentences.
