Since 1963, Heep Hong Society has been providing professional training to children of different abilities, with the mission of helping them develop their potential and lead a fulfilling life. As an innovative non-profit service provider in Hong Kong, Heep Hong dedicates itself to researching various treatment approaches, and sharing this expertise with professional peers to benefit thousands of children with special needs and their families in the Greater China region.
Children with developmental disorders, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, often encounter difficulties in joining social community (such as having dental check, dining at Chinese restaurants, traveling by bus, watching movies at cinema, playing at playground, etc). To help these children integrate into the community, Heep Hong special child care workers have designed an Apps which
- Consists of social stories, procedure cards and picture cards of 5 social activities, including dental check, dining at Chinese restaurants, traveling by bus, watching movies at cinema and playing at playground.
- has User-friendly interface
- has customization features to suit individual needs of children:
- Create new picture cards (up to 8)
- Re-arrange the presentation order of picture cards
- provides language options: Mandarin & Cantonese
- provides subtitle selection: Traditional & Simplified Chinese
