What's New

This app has been updated by Apple to use the latest Apple signing certificate.

Added support for Vocabulary feature. When you read a book with more advanced vocabulary, a button labeled "Vocab Words" will appear when you reach that book's cover page. Click it to hear and read definitions for some of that book's more challenging words as well as example sentences showing the word in use in the book.

Expect the "Vocab Words" button to appear on more and more books over the course of October 2015. By the end of the month, the feature will be enabled for nearly our entire library.

App Description

You will need Internet access while using this app. The app streams large multimedia files.

Listen to a different story each day from One More Story, an online library of the best of classic and contemporary children’s picture books. Children, and their parents and caregivers, can listen and follow along with highlighted text as a story is read to them or read a book themselves in the I Can Read It mode, clicking on words to hear them read aloud.

These stories are brought to you by Federal Library Services and Technology Act funds, awarded to the New York State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.
