The World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Education and Skills has prepared a book, “Education and Skills 2.0: New Targets and Innovative Approaches” to provide the latest thinking on the importance of education and highlight innovative, scalable, compelling, and high-impact solutions that will boost access to education, enhance educational quality, and increase equity. The book also tries to underscore the relevance of education and training to the labor market and the need to facilitate transitions from school-to-work. It should help inform the debate on education in today’s rapidly changing world where there is a premium on knowledge and adaptability and workforces compete internationally. It should also help foster a dialogue among all of society’s stakeholders. This book was launched at the 2014 Annual Meeting.
