For English-speakers, this app can help you learn Chinese and assist you to communicate with local people while traveling in China.
For Chinese-speakers, this app can help you learn English and assist you to communicate with local people while traveling in English-speaking countries.
Major functions:
1) 519 daily used sentences in English, Chinese, and Pinyin
2) Sentences can be searched and selected in both English and Chinese
3) Pronunciation choices: English, Chinese, and Mute
4) Sentence list can be displayed in either English or Chinese
5) Selected sentence is displayed in English, Chinese, and Pinyin, and read-out in either English or Chinese
This is a good stand-alone app that needs no network access to work. You can use to it to learn Chinese from English, or learn English from Chinese.
It could be also a valuable Chinese-English language assistant accompanying you while doing international travel. For instance, when you want to find a restaurant under the circumstance that nobody around you speaks English, you can use the app to find the question in English, show it in Chinese, and/or teach you how to say that in Chinese.
