Bartlett Summer Show 2011
Digital Exhibition

The Bartlett Summer Show celebrates student work from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. One of the world’s biggest architecture degree shows sees over 500 students present an incredible range of inventive and creative visual work, from models and drawings to life-size fragments to films, multimedia installations and computer fabrications.

Each year this exhibition is documented using the Bartlett's 3D scanning technology, capturing a cloud of over a billion precisely measured points and assembling them into this virtual model. Each design unit’s exhibition space is individually scanned in full colour and with millimeter accuracy. The scanner collects such a density of points that individual drawings are captured in photo realistic quality, every pencil mark and precisely drawn line is preserved and can be examined in minute detail.

This app allows you to navigate through the 2011 Summer Show, examining the work long after the exhibition itself has closed. The exhibition can be explored through an the interactive unit map or by design unit name. User controlled orbits allow you to view each unit space from all angles. Detail views take you closer into the work, allowing you to pan across the models, installations and drawings. You can search the app by student or tutor name.
