The Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) is a multidisciplinary association interested in fostering educational research in Australia. AARE facilitates contact between educational researchers and practitioners. It encourages and actively lobbies for development of all aspects of educational research. AARE publishes the Australian Educational Researcher (AER) journal, organises annual conferences and supports a range of Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

This year’s conference theme is Shaping Australian Educational Research
