Authentic Sound & Precise Performance

Play along with precise performances of each rudiment, brought to life with realistic snare drum sounds to provide an immersive learning experience like no other. Each rudiment is meticulously produced to capture the essence and correct performance of the rudiment at a wide range of tempos. Its authenticity encourages regular practice.

Dynamic Metronome

Fast-track development of stick control and tempo versatility with Rudimentia’s unique feature: a metronome that automatically varies tempos. Set your initial and target tempos, and number of measures to play each tempo. When you’ve reached the highest tempo you can comfortably and correctly perform a rudiment at, tap Return and Rudimentia will reverse and steadily decrease back to your initial tempo. This open close open approach is the key to mastering your performance of each rudiment. Say goodbye to stagnant practice routines and hello to dynamic growth.

“Open close open makes sense because it allows you to identify your weaknesses. Always choosing a consistent tempo means you can skip over inconvenient tempos easily. Having to at least move through the hard ones for a few moments shows you where you need work. The fastest speed is not always the hardest, especially for rudiments with double or triple strokes in there… unless your techniques have a large overlap in speeds, there are likely to be spots where you are significantly worse than others. You can’t really hide those spots if you move through every tempo in your range.”
— Ryan Alexander Bloom, drum instructor and author of Encyclopedia Rudimentia
