This application draws upon the official document and is easy to navigate. Offenses are easily searchable by name or MCL number. No more flipping back and fourth, and trying to keep track of what PRV or OV questions to answer and total. Makes looking up guidelines simple and easy.
Mandatory sentencing guidelines are laws regulating the minimum and maximum sentences that judges may impose for certain crimes. In the state of Michigan, only a few crimes--such as first-degree murder and DUIs--have absolute mandatory sentencing guidelines. For other crimes, sentencing is determined by the convicted individual's "Prior Record Variables," meaning that the mandatory guidelines for a particular crime change depending on the felon's previous criminal activity.
