App Description
iMiniDons: a small action that makes a big difference...
iMiniDons, an application for iPhone makes it possible to make mini donations to help non-profit associations that are active mainly in Switzerland, in the areas of job assistance and environmental protection. Unique in Switzerland, iMiniDons allows you to contribute, even modest amounts (mini donations from 1 to 100 Swiss Francs) to worthy projects. The amount of the gift, after deduction and transaction fee, is transmitted via an SMS service in entirety to the association sponsoring the project, and then donor becomes a mini-partner of the organization he or she supports. Donors can choose to receive regular updates about the projects they support.
This application, initially developed by two Information Systems students at HEC Lausanne then taken up by ID Mobile SA and DDX Association, is intended to increase awareness and encourage everybody to take socially responsible steps. The number of partner associations should extend with the addition of new associations and causes.
