Game Rules
Caribbean Poker is a comparing card game played between the player and the dealer. The goal of the game is to defeat the dealer with the player's five-card hand.
Caribbean Poker is dealt from a shoe containing 6 decks of cards shuffled together. For each round, the player places his/her ante onto the table, and then five cards are dealt to each hand, starting from the player and alternating between the hands. The five cards of the player hand are face up, but only the first card of the dealer hand is face up. The player has the option to either play or fold. Any player choosing to play places his/her raise (an additional wager equal to twice the amount of the ante) onto the table. Any player who chooses to fold forfeits his ante. After the player has made the decision, the dealer reveals his four hole cards. The dealer only qualifies (plays) if his hand either (1) contains both an ace and a king or (2) forms a pair or any higher-ranked poker hand. If the dealer's hand does not qualify, only the ante bet of player whose hand defeats the dealer's gets paid while the respective raise bet is push (return to the player unpaid). If the dealer's hand qualifies, the comparing rules are applied to determine who is the winner, and both the ante and the raise bets of player whose hand defeats the dealer's qualified hand win. The round is then finished, the outcome is announced and winning bets are paid out.
Shuffling after half of the 6-deck cards played. The player can also choose to shuffle cards before next game.
