App Description
stringBed is a very advanced analysis tool for players and stringers who want to get the most out of their racquet. The app lets you define the racquet down to the tension and position of an individual string. You can place a load anywhere on the stringbed and get the deformation and stiffness. Since it its non linear analysis it allows for large deformation and you can apply loads equal to those occurring during top level tennis.
stringBed uses a nonlinear Finite Element model with 700 string elements to calculate the deformations and displacements in the racquet. However, the interface in stringBed makes access to these advanced calculations very easy. The high performance libraries in iOS also makes possible to do the millions of calculations needed within a few seconds.
