What's New

+ The number of photographs has been increased from 186 to 216.

+ This app is now fully optimized for the new iPhone 5. The app takes full advantage of the enlarged iPhone 5 screen size, and takes into account the new safe areas of this device when making wallpaper.

+ All the photographs have been crisply enlarged well beyond Retina iPad resolution. (Most are 2560 x 1920 pixels.) You'll see more detail than ever before. With these new sizes, you can use them for PC desktop wallpaper as well.

+ NEW: You can now send real (physical) postcards right inside the app! You can put a photo from this app on the postcard, or you can use your own photo.

+ Now, when you enlarge an image for full screen viewing, it first appears by itself, without control buttons. (Tap to see the buttons.)

+ Now, swiping to the left advances, as in the Photos app.

+ The help file has been improved.

App Description

Want imagery that will show off the incredible resolving power and dazzling color of your apple device? Want to make stunning wallpaper for it?

Well, then, you've come to the right place. The photos here are tailor made for these devices, and this app can turn them into perfect wallpaper for Home and Lock Screens.

An exclusive feature of all the Pixels By Paul apps is their ability to size wallpaper to fit within Home and Lock screen "safe areas". Safe areas are the central areas in the Lock and Home Screens which are not blocked by the status bar, date/time bar, unlock slider, and dock. Pictures can be fitted to the safe area while keeping their original aspect (the ratio of height to width is maintained), or pictures can be stretched or squeezed to completely fill the safe areas.

Stretched images are given a reflection at the bottom, so that they fade smoothly behind the bottom controls. You can also wrap images, as in a gallery wrap print. Wrapped images keep their aspect ratio (remain un-stretched), but any surrounding black bars (used to keep the image centered in the safe area) are filled in with reflections of the image.

You can make such safe area wallpapers from the pictures in this app, and you can do this with your own pictures.

This app contains 216 photos of gorgeous objects with mesmerizing, watery reflections against natural backgrounds. All photos are huge (most are 2560 x 1920 pixels), well beyond Retina iPad resolution. With these new sizes, you can use them for PC desktop wallpaper as well. All the images have been optimized for your devices. Information for each photo is included.

This app is fully optimized for Retina iPads and the new iPhone 5. All graphical elements are at full Retina iPad resolution, and the app takes full advantage of the enlarged iPhone 5 screen size.

This app can entertain in several ways. It's fun to flip through its 4-up browsing screens, and to watch 4-up or 1-up slideshows. Try stretching the images to fill their quadrant (4-up) or screen (1-up), both in portrait and in landscape orientation. And do search through to find and make your favorite wallpaper images.

You can also send physical post cards from within this app to anyone anywhere in the world. The picture you choose (from this app or from your own Photos library) will be on the front of the postcard. You enter a message and recipient address, and the postcard is printed and mailed.

A pictorial help file is included, with usage tips and disclosure of hidden features.

Order large prints of these photos, unmounted or mounted, at discounted prices shown in the help file.

This app requires no internet connection to run (except for sending postcards). Everything you need is included inside this application. And it's a universal app! Run it on your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, all for one low price.

This app requires iOS 4.3 or higher.
