ABOUT CHESS
The game of chess was invented sometime back in the 15th Century. Of course, back then the game was played on a simple board. The board was (and still is) made up of 64 dark and light squares arranged in an eight-by-eight square. The goal is to protect your King, while trying to capture your opponents King.
Both Kings are protected by loyal armies consisting of eight pawns, two bishops, two knights, two rooks (also called castles), and a Queen. The aim is to capture your opponent’s King by removing their pieces whilst avoiding the capture of your King.
