This application has been designed specifically for the iPad to take advantage of its advanced capabilities and large Multi-Touch screen. The Vook features new functionality that lets you read and watch in full screen with full color video and images, rotate the screen between portrait and landscape view, and email quotes and notes from within the application.
This Vook is a beautiful collection of Hans Christian Andersen's most famous stories, which is brought to life through beautiful videos of the original illustrations created by Edmund Dulac. These evocative illustrations are truly works of art, capturing Andersen's emotional tales of happiness, loss, and the search for true love. Stories included in this collection are "The Mermaid", "The Real Princess", "The Snow Queen", "The Emperor's New Clothes", and " The Nightingale". By having the option to read the stories, as you watch the illustrations, you are able to fully immerse yourself into Andersen's stories. This collection has everything from a Mermaid who is willing to give up her soul for the man she loves, to a Princess who must prove her authenticity by sleeping on a pea.
