App Description

"Engrossing"
- Shelly, mother of Eloise, discerning 9 y/o reader.

StoryBook is more than just a collection of stories- it actually uses a "Story Engine" which allows you to place you (or your child) in the story, and will never tell the story exactly the same way twice. Think of it as a digital story book that you can read time and time again.

You don't need to be a parent to use StoryBook- Have you ever needed to babysit and wondered how you could keep them entertained? Tap their names into the story and you're good to go!

Children will learn new words every time you read them a story. Genres range from simple "At Home" stories to exciting space adventures. The type of genre you select for your child is of course up to you, but an approximate age range for the genres included would be ages 0-15.

StoryBook is not a picture book; it's designed to be read aloud to your child. But just like a real story book, it will entertain them at bedtime or on long trips in the car. It’s all about quality time, and with StoryBook this can be regained; it’s a nice substitute for “Video Parenting”.

Incorporate your child’s favorite things into the story for further customization.

This full version has twelve stories built-in:

- At Home
- At the Park
- At the Beach
- Word Play
- At the Fair
- My Favorite Things
- The Color of Food
- In the Backyard
- The Magic Toy
- Pirate Adventure
- Spy Adventure
- Space Adventure

Here's a sample of a few pages from the "Spy Adventure" story, demonstrating how each reading is different:

-------------------------------------
"How DARE you be so facetious when you're in such a serious predicament!" he barked.
Julie knew when Gus was giving her a signal, and this was one of those moments.
She reached into her suitcase and retrieved the Jam Jammer, flicking it into the 'on' position as she did so.
The screen started to crackle and buzz, and in an instant, Sylar's face was gone.
But the car's auto navigation was now also jammed, and as a result it swerved and screeched all over the road!
Julie tossed the Jam Jammer to Gus and desperately tried to regain control.
Julie wrestled with the wheel, almost hit a road safety billboard, then eventually brought the car to a halt, narrowly missing an old lady walking her tiny puppies.
-------------------------------------

- and the next time:

-------------------------------------
"How DARE you be so disrespectful when you're in such a frightful jam!" he barked.
Julie tossed the Jam Jammer to Gus and frantically tried to regain control.
Julie wrestled with the wheel, almost hit an old lady pushing a pram, then eventually brought the car to a halt, narrowly missing a crowd of schoolchildren on their way to their graduation ceremony.
