With this guide, the Ente di Decentramento Regionale di Trieste is setting out to make a comprehensive set of information available to interested parties wanting to get to know the area, from its natural and environmental characteristics through to its culture and traditions, to stimulate the visitors’ curiosity and enrich the area’s degree of appeal.With this tool the user can choose, completely freely and independently, the places of interest they would like to visit, creating a range of itineraries for themselves based on the time they have available and without the need for a human guide, together with the luxury of being able to move around safe in the knowledge of not getting lost while visiting little-known sites that are off-the-beaten-track but no less appealing for this and allowing the interesting aspects of the area to be enjoyed, accompanying the guest to sites that are not always mentioned in the traditional guides.The information, in four languages (Italian/Slovenian/English/German), is organized by topic into sections and subsections, connected both to the main menu and between each of the components, with the possibility of accessing thematic routes that help the visitor reach less well-known and less-accessible sites.This project has been developed and put together with the support of the European Community, under the Italy-Slovenia Cooperation Programme 2007-2013, Carso Kras Strategic Project.
