is a game set in the nation of usa, a place where, if a person commits murder, their skin falls off. The player plays as Calder Ayton, a former police officer and Death Row executioner who has lost nearly all of his skin as a result of his former profession.

Phasmophobia was not created to endorse any political affiliation; it was not created to support or defend the death penalty, nor was it created to villify or sanctify either the police or the incarcerated. Instead, it was created as an exploration of the role of mass incarceration in America, and it tells a series of personal stories to encourage its players to think about our society's incarceration system from multiple perspectives.

It is my hope that inspire discussion about these issues, but also that players remember that it is simply a video game created to entertain and not to promote a political message.
