- roots that have same meaning are grouped together
- For example:

roots that have meaning "against" are "anti-, counter-, ob-"
roots that have meaning "all" are "omni, pan"
roots that have meaning "body" are "-some, corp, som, somato"
roots that have meaning "brain" are "cerebr, encephalo"
