Designed specially for motorists, the audio tour immerses you in the renowned culture and heritage of one of Ireland’s most beautiful counties as you drive Clare’s west coast on the Wild Atlantic Way touring route.

Thanks to the latest GPS and geofencing technologies, mini ‘audio documentaries’ play AUTOMATICALLY over your vehicle’s sound system as you approach specific landmarks and towns, offering a fascinating cultural and historical context to the landscape.

Along the way, you’ll hear enchanting interviews with charismatic experts and locals; world-class music, literary, and dramatic performances; master storytelling; unvarnished humour; and beautiful narration by Irish actors.

This app works no matter what direction you’re driving in, and at your own pace. We recommend allocating two days to enjoy County Clare to the fullest!

An Introduction plus 11 other audio tour stops are featured: Loop Head Peninsula, Spanish Point, Miltown Malbay, Liscannor, the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora, Fanore, Ballyvaughan, and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. Non-audio tour stops include Shannon Airport and now Ennis and Central Burren, all GPS enabled.

Each stop includes a text description and a curated list of our favorite nearby dining, drinking, coffee, and crafts establishments; local activities; and off-the-beaten-track destinations to explore. Also new with the current release is a poetic SCAVENGER HUNT for all ages that will take you to many gorgeous off-the-beaten track natural and archeological sites that are absolute gems.

DOWNLOAD THE APP IN SECONDS, then just connect your iPhone or iPad to the vehicle's audio system via Bluetooth, AUX audio cable, or USB cable. Press “Allow” for push notifications and for the app to track your location so you can experience the hands-free audio. Your device’s ringer must be turned ON for the app’s audio to work; if the device is set to vibrate, you won’t hear the audio.
