App Description
The Center for Development of the Vardar Planning Region operates as a professional administrative body of the Council for Development of the Vardar Planning Region. In accordance with the territorial division of the Republic of Macedonia which includes eight planning region and the provisions of the Law on Equal Regional Development that foresee establishment of a technical body that will service the regional development in the Vardar Planning Region, the Center for Development of the Vardar Planning Region is located in Veles Municipality since this municipality has the largest number of inhabitants.
In accordance with the Law on Equal Regional Development, the Center for Development of the Vardar Planning Region does the following activities:
Develops the draft program for development of the planning region
Develops the proposal Action Plan for implementation of the Program for Development of the Planning Region
Develops project proposals for development of the planning region and the areas with specific development needs
Coordinates the activities related to implementation of the Program for Development of the Planning Region and implements the projects for development of the planning region
Provides information to the interested parties about the implementation status of the Program for Development of the Planning Region and other issues related to the regional development
Provides expertise and technical assistance to the Municipalities when they draft their development programs
Provides professional services to NGOs and other interested parties for drafting of regional development projects
Stimulates the inter-municipal cooperation in the frames of the planned development
Implements projects that stipulate the development of the planning region, financed by EU and other international funds
Promotes the development opportunities of the planning region, and
Provides professional and administrative-technical works for the needs of the Council for Development of the Planning Region.
