App Description

Primary Computing Student Edition app is the companion app to Primary Computing Teacher Guide. It includes a clear progression of over 120 minutes of short video tutorials* that provide Primary (Ages 7-11) students with many programming skills that meet the objectives of the Key Stage 2 Computing National Curriculum for England. The app covers 4 free programming tools - Kodu, Scratch, Hopscotch iPad App and HTML Web programming.

Features include:

- Programming in Kodu (Creating worlds, objects and programming Kodu games with scoring and multi-player inputs.
- Hopscotch iPad App (Basics, drawing with loops, programming inputs, building games, scoring and creating quizzes)
- Scratch (Basics plus programming a quiz, multi-player race, maze, space invader games and penalty shootout)
- HTML Programming (Students learn to program a multipage website with text, colours, images and hyperlinks)
- New activities will be added to app regularly for free.

The idea of the app is that pupils can use it on an iPad alongside a Mac or PC while they are programming.
