Tic Tac Toe is a simple strategy game which in the design of this context is chosen to anchor the attention to the present moment. Traditionally people keep records of their wins and losses by which they get tied up strongly to the past and to the future projections, hence making them absent in the present moment. You can choose to monitor the scores or not.
