App Description

Burnt Mill Academy has gone through this massive structural change since April 2013 when permission to become a MAT was first given. It is testimony to the leadership of this school that the change of legal structure and support that was provided to Roydon and Freshwaters through the conversion process and recruitment for September 2013 has occurred without impacting on the results of Burnt Mill which rose again from 72% in 2012 to 76% in 2013 and 86% in 2014. In July 2013 the Head Teacher was designated a National Leader in Education and the school a National Support School. In September 2014 the school achieved Teaching School Alliance status as part of the West Essex Teaching School Alliance. The school is situated in the town of Harlow.
