This free version just lets you read the news, its ad-supported and is missing a few major features that are otherwise present in the alternative version which is available for a small purchase.

This free version doesn't include:
> The ability to personalise the app to display news that interests you or topics you like
> The ability to bookmark stories for later reference
> Most new features that will be introduced at a later stage
