The Digital X-Ray Calculator Universal App is a Digital Radiography tool for the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.

The Digital X-Ray Calculator Universal App is a great tool for the experienced tech and the new student tech as well. With over 10 Digital X-ray systems included in the first version of Digital X-Ray Calculator the user will have a great tool to rely upon when needing to reference a technique. Digital X-Ray Calculator allows the user to look up techniques for over 150 exams. Not only are techniques produced but Exposure Indicators for each system as well. Digital X-Ray Calculator takes this one step farther and provides an appropriate exposure indicator for each image and a target exposure indicator number. The target is what you as a tech will want to hit in order to bring the lowest dose to the patient while getting a diagnostic image. With each system the user is provided with a document with instructions on how to use proper radiographic procedures and formulas. This document can be accessed by pressing the small blue circle i next to the displayed target exposure indicator number range on the answer screen.

The purpose of Digital X-Ray Calculator is to put radiographic techniques and proper technique adjustment at the tip of the technologist fingers. The technologist will find the techniques, Exposure Indicators numbers and Target E.I’s very useful and helpful. With correct technique and accurate positioning the technologist should be able to get the image correct the first time. Repeat exposures are the number one cause of increased dose for the patient and we can help limit patient dose by using Digital X-Ray Calculator .
