App Description

When first responders are called to the scene of a 911 medical emergency, the patient may not speak English. Comprehension is low and even gestures can be misinterpreted. Key information may be missed like pain location, medical history, allergies, or medications. Without proper and timely assessment, this can lead to medical errors or worse.

The 1st Minute mobile application helps responders overcome the language barrier by providing a responder-to-patient interface with visual prompts, multi-language database, and a ‘translated to any available language’ summary. This means faster and more accurate patient assessment, better patient care for non-English speakers, and improved decision support for EMS and those in the patient care process.
