Well it was a tight one this week, but after a count, a recount, and a harried phone call with the game of the week administration in Strasbourg, we can now reveal that the winner of this week's game of the week award is midcore stealth banger, Sneak Ops.

The game sees you making your way through a maze-like structure, hiding from guards, laser trip-wires, and the roving eyes of sentry cameras. It's the stealth game with all of its frippery peeled back, and quite frankly it's pretty darn wonderful.

But why do we think it deserves to win our game of the week award? Not that it's up to us, but there's a damn good reason it's clearly resonated with so many of you.

And that's the way the game opens up one of the densest genres in gaming to everyone. Sneaking here is super simple, but it still captures the tension in the heavyweight console hitters that we're all so familiar with. When an alarm sounds or a guard spots you, you're going to shoot from the edge of your seat to the edge of the edge of your seat.

The game is designed to fit perfectly into those little moments when you can snatch a quick play, but it also works brilliantly if you get stuck in and try and push as far as you can through the well-secured chambers it throws at you.

To us, that all sounds awesome. If you agree you can click right here to head over to the App Store and grab the game right this second. It's free, and it comes highly recommended.
