Now, without any further ado, let's get to our pick of the 5 best iPhone and iPad games that you should be playing this week.

Brawl Stars

- download for iOS

Supercell's game of running around and shooting each other has finally been released world-wide. It might not have the chops of Clash Royale, but there's fun to be had in its chaotic mix of a twin-stick shooter and a cartoon. Daily events keep you on your toes, and there's no energy system to stop you from playing.

Gone Home

- download for iOS

It might have been out in the console world for a while now, but Gone Home is finally out for iPhone and iPad. It's a slick port, and if you're hankering for a game without combat or puzzles, then walking through a house and piecing together the story of its occupants in this one might be right up your street.

Reed 2

- download for iOS

When we say this platformer is super tough, we want you to understand that we really, really mean it. Honestly, it's going to have you grinding your teeth, pulling your hair and, if you let it, throwing your iPhone as hard as you can into a wall. But the feeling when you make it past one of I Am Reed's challenges is second-to-none.

This is the Police

- download for iOS

This one sees you playing as the head of a police department. You're half a year away from retirement, and it's up to you to make sure you've got a decent pay off at the end of all your toil. You'll be managing your detectives, checking out crime scenes, and talking to the press. All the while being involved in a super dark story that's going to have you on the edge of your seat.
