Fire Emblem Heroes received a sizeable update first thing this morning. The update features a batch of fresh content along with a few updates to the game's systems.

Perhaps the most exciting facet of today's update is the fact that the launch celebration is being extended indefinitely. That means that the Stamina cost for the Training Tower will not rise once the event ends, and players will be able to continue equipping skills at zero cost. Many players were worried about the state of the game once these perks were lifted -- it would indeed make the game a lot harder to enjoy without paying steady sums of money to boost your Stamina.

Nintendo also introduced the second series of Summoning Focuses, Family Bonds, which introduces four new characters. Players can now pull for two new brother-and-sister duos: Ephraim and Eirika from Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones and Seliph and Julia from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. All four characters will still be available even after the Focus ends.

Players were also treated to the first Paralogue Maps, which introduce new story bits and some fun quests which grant rewards upon their completion. We hope you weren't planning on resting on your laurels after you played through Fire Emblem Heroes' initial batch of content. Looks like Nintendo plans on keeping us busy.
