With a number of different gameplay modes and mission types, SailorMoon Drops is surprisingly deep, requiring quite a bit of strategy if you want to succeed.

Each stage has a limited set of moves, usually capping at 50 or under. If you hit zero before you clear a stage, you can either buy a few more turns or give up and lose a life.

While you’ll need a bit of luck on your side, we also have a few tips to help you make the most of your limited turns.

Take your time

Most of SailorMoon Drops’s stages aren’t timed, so you can take your time to plan out each move. Rather than blindly matching any gems that jump out at you, take a second to look around to find moves that will earn you a higher score.

Consider the mission

Each stage has a mission you need to complete -like dropping a certain number of accessories to the bottom of the board, or clearing a set of gems - the game likes to throw obstacles onto the board to make what might be a simple feat a bit more challenging.

It’s easy to mow through your moves, ruining your chances for success. Instead, consider whether or not a move will help you complete your mission. If the answer is no, it might be better to search elsewhere.

This will significantly lower the odds that you’ll run out of turns and lose a life.

Use your powers

While it’s good to focus on the task at hand, sometimes brute force also works to your advantage. When matching pieces, don’t neglect the heart gems, which charge your Skill Gauge.

Once it’s full, you can unleash your ultra-powerful Sailor Soldier moves, clearing swathes of gems and granting you any number of helpful bonuses, including extra moves and time.

There’s a surprising amount to think about when playing SailorMoon Drops, but that’s part of what makes it so addictive. Follow the tips above and you’ll be able to keep going without waiting for your life timer to recharge.
