Flower Garden Goes Free For Mother's Day
When you start Flower Garden, you start out with a few different flowers seed packets you can plant. Some are easy to grow -- they can take any amount of water and don't need much tending. Others need a specific amount of water, dry out quickly, and need more frequent tending. As you successfully grow flowers, you will unlock other flowers seed packets you can grow. In addition, you can use in-app purchasing to grab other seed types, new gardens, and fertilizer to speed your flowers growing.
There's a free bonus set of flower seeds available that includes a special 148Apps flower. Guess which one is my favorite?
Flower Garden works great on the iPhone and looks even better on the iPad. Huge, wonderful flowers fill the screen. Very fun to interact with (try rotating the flower pots). Once you have grown your flowers you can cut them and create bouquets with a single or multiple kinds of flowers. Once you have a bouquet, you can add a message and send it either by email or via Facebook.
Here's a short video from the developer that gives you a walk through of Flower Garden.
The app is a Universal App -- meaning it's optimized to take advantage of the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Grab it now and send your mom some flowers today!
Flower Garden: Show Your Mom You Love Her With An iPhone App
With Mothers Day right around the corner (Sunday, in case you forgot) I figured that it might be time to start planning out exactly what I'd be doing to show my mom that I appreciate everything she's done and continues to do for me. The traditional ideas passed through my head: bring her out for dinner, treat her to a spa day, and of course, buy her flowers. This was all before my inner nerd took over and thought: what iPhone app could help me out with this.
If my mom were perhaps as tech savvy of a lady as, say Christine Morris, one of our excellent reviewers here at 148Apps.com, this could be a lot of fun. I'd load her phone up with various iPhone apps that would allow her to simplify the tasks in her day to day life along with games for her to play when she gets bored. Unfortunately, my mom just recently upgraded from her blue Nokia brick of a phone to whatever her carrier offered her for free this month.
