Spy_Watch Review
If You’re Getting an Apple Watch, Get SPY_WATCH, Too
There was mention of the existence and upcoming release of Bossa Studios’ (Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread) SPY_WATCH, but now things are different. Now it’s something I’m super-anxious to get my hands on when it releases tomorrow - and I don’t think I should be the only one.
Watch Your Six - SPY_WATCH is Infiltrating the Apple Watch This Week
SPY_WATCH, by Bossa Studios, is a new game designed for the Apple Watch. Runmor has it your spy agency has fallen out of favor. To save it, you'll need to train-up a spy and send them on missions to earn you a stunningly suspicious reputation and some cash to improve your spy's abilities. The app will send you real-time notifications from you agent so you can keep track of their progress.
Bossa Studios co-founder and Chief Spy Master, Imre Jele commented: “We are now all used to communicating via short text based messages and we felt this would be a really interesting and accessible way to tell an interactive story. Thanks to the Apple Watch we are now able to bring the thrill of espionage to your wrist, just like one of James Bond’s infamous gadgets.”
SPY_WATCH will be released on April 24, right alongside the Apple Watch.
I AM BREAD, the Toast of the Town, is Rolling Its Way to iOS
Have you ever dreamt of being deliciously gluten-y? Do you feel passionate about Rye and Wheat? The guys at Bossa Studios do and that is why they are bringing I AM BREAD to iOS soon. The loafy app will feature all the new content that is being included in the Steam Early Access version. You'll get the all new garage area and Cheese Hunt mode starring Crispbread. So there's only one question left: Are you ready to toast?!?
You can find out more about I AM BREAD in the newest dev diary.
Surgeon Simulator Slices Onto the iPhone
Bossa Studios has updated the completely realistic Surgeon Simulator, allowing iPhone and iPod Touch owners the chance to say 'Shhhhh. I Doctor Now' on their devices for the first time.
For those of you unaware of Bob and his many unfortunate surgeries, Surgeon Simulator challenges players to complete a variety of transplants - including heart, double kidney, and eyes - with control of your surgical instruments down to your nimble fingers. Being a physics-based game however, your fingers will likely end up being more clumsy than nimble, with flying objects and a dead patient usually being the end result.
Surgeon Simulator is available to download for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch now for $5.99.
Thomas Was Alone Goes Universal, Slashes Price to $3.99
Previously, Bossa Studios' and Mike Bithell's Thomas Was Alone was itself alone on iOS, being only available to iPad owners. That's changes today, as the adventures of Thomas and his quadrilateral buddies is now available for iPhones (minimum 4, with 4S upwards recommended) and 5th generation iPod Touches due to the game becoming an universal app. To celebrate this, the game is also on sale, knocking 33% off the usual price for this weekend.
Thomas Was Alone is available now for $3.99, and will be until July 28, at which point the price will rise back up to $5.99.
Thomas Was Alone Gets Benjamin's Flight, Goes on Sale for $5.99
A new update has arrived for Thomas Was Alone, bringing with it the previously PlayStation-exclusive expansion for the game, Benjamin's Flight. This expansion takes place before the events of the main game and stars Benjamin, who goes in search of the Fountain of Wisdom, aided by his father's jetpack. Contained within the expansion are 20 new levels, three new characters, and a story about "hope and the wild impetuosity of youth." Oh, and jumping, of course.
Thomas Was Alone is available now for iPad and is currently on sale for $5.99 to celebrate the addition of these new levels.
Thomas Was Alone Removes Option to Instantly Unlock All Levels
Shock! Horror! it turns out that Bossa Studios, whose port of Mike Bithell's Thomas Was Alone made its way onto the App Store last week, want you to actually play through the game as you're meant to.
In the version of the game that released last week, an option existed for players to skip levels, allowing them to skip straight to the end and miss out on the story of Thomas and co, as spoken by Danny Wallace. In today's update, that option has now been removed - meaning players will now have to actually "skillfully play through all of the levels to complete them rather than cheating and skipping to the end."
You too can discover how alone Thomas really was, as the game is now available for $8.99 for iPad.
