Pokémon GO might be getting legendaries this summer

The long-awaited legendary Pokémon may soon be coming to Pokémon GO at long last. Data miners have already discovered that the legendary birds, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos are already in the game, it’s just a matter of time.

We got a more recent hint this week, though, after Pokémon GO took home the prize for Best Mobile Game at the Webby Awards this year. Niantic’s global product marketing lead, Archit Bhargava, only had five words to devote to his acceptance speech. “This summer will be legendary,” he said, cryptically.

Is this a hint that the first legendary Pokémon will finally arrive in the wild in the coming summer months? Maybe. Probably. We can’t say for certain, but odds are looking pretty good for Pokémon GO devotees right now.
