PocApp Studios may be familiar to you through their popular idle RPG Castle Cats. Their latest endeavour sticks with cute animals as the focus but this time they've switched to canines. It's called Dungeon Dogs and it's available now for both iOS and Android.

The game takes place in the world of Lupinia where dogs are treated like second-class citizens. One day though, a ragtag team of rebels discovers there might be a potential true heir to the throne that might be able to turn their fortunes around. So Lyra, Ken and Poppy set off to find them.

On the journey, you'll increase your canine forces with other pups, with over 45 different species to collect. Each will bring their own skills and abilities to battles so you'll want to try out various team setups to see what works best for you.

There will be 85 quests to fight your way through on launch, with more content arriving in future. This can all be automated too if you'd prefer given that this is an idle RPG. I'm not sure I've ever entirely understood the appeal of this kind of gameplay but it remains an incredibly popular sub-genre, so there's obviously something to it

Discussing the release of Dungeon Dog, Dilaram Massimova, CEO of PocApp Studios said: “We’ve been counting down the days to release through our social media channels and our fans are super excited to play the game. We’ve been working hard to develop a game that appeals to our current fanbase, as well as capturing the hearts of new players to our world.

Dungeon Dogs is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
