Gamespot reports that Apple has started to put the kibosh on new app/game submissions that use the word "flappy." It seems as though a number of developers have been weighing in, saying that their various entries containing the word have been barred because they're using it to "leverage a popular app."

Yikes.

You can check out the full story over at Gamespot. But really, can you blame Apple? This sort of thing (trying to cash-in on another game's popularity by using specific words) happens all too regularly on the App Store, and I think it's about time they made more of an attempt to stop it.
