sonicPlanet presents Broken Chord's A "Raisin in the Sun" within the genuine Omniwaves app framework.

We promise you an experience beyond the conventional stereo listening by transferring your position and orientation to a virtually represented concert performance space.

Broken Chord is a NYC based band. They create music and sound designs all over the United States. In New York, they’ve designed for the Atlantic Theater Company, Cherry Lane Theatre, Juilliard, Keen Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, New Victory Theater, Primary Stages, The Public Theater, Rattlestick, Roundabout, Second Stage Theatre and Signature Theatre. Their regional credits include productions for Actors Theatre of Louisville, Berkley Repertory Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Hartford Stage, Huntington Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Trinity Repertory Company, Yale Repertory Theater. In addition to his work with Broken Chord, Aaron is a composer, trumpet player and electronic instrumentalist. His music has been presented at ABC No Rio, Politics of Ecstasy Festival at HAU, The Stone, Munich Experimental Music Festival, Incubator Arts Project, Ausland, The DUMBO Spot, Kulturhaus Mitte, Studio des Islettes, Cafe Uebereck, Silent Barn and the Knitting Factory. His ongoing multi-disciplinary project OZET concluded a 2-year residency at Incubator Arts Project in New York City in 2014 with a production of the opera KATORGA (a tale of imprisonment and mushroom hunting on an asteroid crossing the outermost edge of the Sun's domain).

They delivered us the multi track recordings of this piece and we have integrated them into our Omniwaves app framework with a virtual acoustics engine to represent accurately this concert experience.

By using this app you can navigate physically through an accurate virtual representation of this performance record, including the performers position and the acoustics of the hall, all way beyond the flat stereo imaging. Hence, you can get closer to any instrument you wish, never claim about your seat which you could find at the concert venue.!

Album piece or concert performance recordings can be embedded into our Omniwaves framework by considering the physical positioning of the individual instruments and natural acoustic components of the performance medium.
