Tehran Annual Digital Art Exhibition (TADAEX) was founded in December 2011 to open a new window toward digital art in Iran and to create a serious and independent atmosphere for the enthusiasts and researchers of this field. The generally non-commercial nature of digital art among contemporary art mediums on one hand, and the expensiveness of digital art tools and equipment on the other hand, makes it difficult for the Iranian artists to work and gain experience in this field. Therefore, there might be limited works for display and presentation. Also, the limited academic background and experience need help and management. With all these shortcomings, during the past two periods international artists have been invited to take part in TADAEX for interaction and exchange of experience. This has paved the ground for development and enrichment of Iranian digital art production and presentation.
TADAEX, in its third round, has planned to present selection of Iranian and foreign works, hold workshops, lectures, multimedia performances, and introducing international associations and festivals. TADAEX, this time, will provide a chance for digital art artists, specialists, students, and enthusiasts to review the contemporary trend of this art in Iran and in other countries and exchange views and experiences with one another.
To realize maximum possible participation of Iranian artists in a completely free and competitive atmosphere, organizers decided to select and display works of Iranian artists through a public invitation for presentation of digital art works.
It is hoped that the new achievements of this round of TADAEX would help rapid development of digital art in Iranian visual art field and open new chapters for its growth.

نمایشگاه سالانه هنر دیجیتال تهران در آذر ماه سال 90 (دسامبر 2011) با هدف گشودن دریچهای نو به هنر دیجیتال ایران برنامه‌ریزی و بنیانگذاری شد. این نمایشگاه ایجاد فضایی جدی و مستقل برای علاقه‌مندان و جستجوگران هنر دیجیتال را مورد توجه قرار داده است. زمینه عموماً غیر تجاری هنر دیجیتال در میان مدیوم‌های هنر معاصر از یک سو و گرانی هزینه‌های تجهیزات و ابزار از سوی دیگر، امکان تجربه‌ورزی و حضور هنرمندان ایرانی را در این رشته دشوار می‌کند. بنابراین شاید ظرفیت‌های چندانی برای نمایش و ارائه وجود نداشته باشد و پیشینه آکادمیک و تجربه محدودی هم که موجود است، نیاز به همراهی و مدیریت دارد. با چنین محدودیت‌هایی طی دو دوره گذشته تلاش شده است با ارائه آثار هنرمندان بین‌المللی و نیز تعامل و تبادل دانش و تجربیات با آنان، بستری مهیا گردد که امکان تولید و نمایش آثار هنرمندان ایرانی توسعه یافته و غنی‌تر و پربارتر شود.
نمایشگاه سالانه هنر دیجیتال تهران در سومین دوره خود میکوشد با ارایهی گزیدهای از آثار هنرمندان ایرانی و خارجی و نیز برگزاری کارگاههای آموزشی، سخنرانی، اجراهای چند رسانهای، معرفی انجمنها و فستیوالهای بینالمللی فضایی فراهم کند که هنرمندان، متخصصان، دانشجویان و علاقهمندان هنر دیجیتال بتوانند ضمن مرور بخشی از جریان معاصر این هنر در ایران و سایر نقاط جهان به تبادل نظر و تجربیات خود بپردازند.
از آنجا که حداکثر مشارکت ممکن در یک فضای کاملاً آزاد و رقابتی مورد توجه بود است امسال تصمیم گرفته شد تا از این به بعد امسال آثار هنرمندان ایرانی طی یک فراخوان انتخاب و نمایش داده شود.
برگزارکنندگان امیدوارند فرصت‌های تازهای که در این دوره پیشروی مخاطبان قرار می‌گیرد، به رشد و گسترش هنر دیجیتال در فضای هنر تجسمی ایران کمک کرده و آن را در مسیرهای تازهای قرار دهد.
