What's New

A human player now moves a piece by dragging it instead of tapping squares.

We have added support for GameCenter allowing you:
- to play with friends on the same Wifi network
- to play with people across the World
- talk to each other while you play

Why not invite some friends to play NOW!

The game also works in landscape too, and should appear quicker and smoother.

App Description

Overview
========
A traditional strategy game for 2 players that is based upon Alquerque played in the Middle East.

Players take it in turns to move.

A move consists of moving a piece diagonally to an adjacent unoccupied square. If the adjacent square contains an opponent's piece, and the square immediately beyond it is vacant, the piece may be captured (and removed from the game) by jumping over it. Capturing is mandatory, and includes multiple jumps. If you manage to advance a piece to the far end of the board then it is 'kinged'. A king can move diagonally forwards or backwards.

The player without pieces remaining, or who cannot move due to being blocked, loses the game.

This is the classic British board and rules set.
