The second Qi Baishi International Culture and Art Festival was opened in Xiangtan city. Many famous painter and calligrapher of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan attended the festival with their works.
To memorize the great contribution Qi Baishi had made to Chinese culture and art, and to inherit his artistic spirit, the hometown of Qi Baishi, Xiangtan City of Hunan Province, has decided to hold the second session of the art festival after they successfully held the first session of "Qi Baishi International Culture and Art Festival" on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Qi Baishi in 2004.
The subjects of Qi Baishi’s works almost were the people and things in his hometown. He created the great art in the most localized and nationalized way; he also introduced his hometown to the whole world with his art works.
This app contains more than 70 pieces of famous Chinese painting and calligraphy works from the three cities, including landscape paintings, figure paintings, flower-and-bird paintings, Chinese shrimp paintings and so on.
