App Description

This is a simple and practical educational app with a 1000 common words and their phonemes with full pronunciation support. It is designed to jumpstart your kids' reading skills by helping them understand different sounds a letter or group of letters make. This proven method rapidly increases their reading capability by teaching them how to blend letter sounds to form words. This app comes fully packaged with full phonics support and 1000 words categorized in different word families to give your kids core reading skills for rapidly accelerating their reading power. Most importantly, its simple, easy and fun to play.

To Play, you can hit the 'Spin' button to spin the word wheels to get a new word. When a new word appears, the phonic components are clearly identified and pronounced. You can also tap the letter or letter group to hear the sound again.

The words are categorized in 10 levels, each level focusing on specific word families. This way you can introduce reading skills to your child in an incremental fashion.

You can lock one or more letters to focus on a set of words. For example, if you choose 'Reader Level 1' which basically teaches all CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words and if you lock the middle letter to 'a', you will get all cvc-a words. The letter wheels are all scrollable so you can choose the letter you want and then lock it to focus on the set of words you want to work with.

The app allows the following two settings:

> Read out phonics - When this is on, phonics for the word are sounded out whenever a new word appears.

> Reader Level - Choose the level you want your child to work on.

> Include previous levels - When this is on, words from levels below selected level are also included. When this is off, words pertaining to selected level only are selected.

TIP: BY DEFAULT, 'READER LEVEL 10' IS SELECTED. ALSO 'INCLUDE PREVIOUS LEVELS' IS SET TO ON. THIS SETTING WILL GIVE YOU ALL 1000 WORDS. IF YOU NEED TO START WITH BASIC LEVELS PLEASE CHANGE SETTINGS ACCORDINGLY.
