Compatibility of iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application with iDevices upgraded to iOS8 and new iPhone 6/6 Plus

On September 17th, 2014, Apple announced the new operating system iOS8
Sanofi has tested the current iBGStar® DMA 2.2.1 and confirms the compatibility and safe use on supported iDevices upgraded to iOS8, including the new iPhone 6/6 Plus. Supported iDevices are iPhone 4S/5/5C/5S/6/6 Plus and iPod touch 5. Users of the iPhone 4S/5/5C/5S and iPod touch 5 are advised to perform a back-up of their iBGStar® DMA data on iTunes before performing the iOS8 upgrade

Availability of iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application v. 2.2.1 for iPhone 5c/5s

On December 2013, Sanofi released the updated iBGStar® Diabetes Manager Application (DMA) v. 2.2.1. The iBGStar® DMA 2.2.1 is compatible with supported iDevices up to the fifth generation including the iPhone 5c/5s and Apple’s new operating system iOS7

The iBGStar® DMA version 2.2.1 can be used with iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5/5c/5s and iPod touch 3/4/5. For users of older generation iDevices, a full overview of iBGStar® DMA compatibility can be found on http://www.bgstar.com/web/ibgstar/app
Users are advised to back up their data on iTunes before performing the upgrade

The iBGStar® Diabetes Manager app combines the latest in interface design, data management, and mobile technology to help you better manage your diabetes information. With it, you can record, track, manage and share your data — anytime, anywhere

RECORDING NUMBERS
On the home screen is your scorecard and when used with iBGStar® meter, the app automatically syncs your data each time you take a reading*. You can also manually add your latest blood glucose reading, your carbs, and insulin doses to your scorecard.

*The iBGStar® Diabetes Manager app is intended for U.S. residents only. Units are measured in mg/dL

TAGGING READINGS
Tag readings according to mealtimes and add customized notes about each meal or exercise — anything that might be affecting your blood glucose levels

ANALYZING DATA
With the iBGStar® Diabetes Manager app, you can view and analyze your data in three different ways:

•Trend Chart — Plots readings on a graph, giving you a visual representation of your blood sugar levels over time
•Logbook — Shows a detailed record of readings, organized by meal-relationship tags
•Statistics — Displays average results for a period of 7, 14, 30 or 90 days (settings can be customized to meet your individual needs)

VIEWING ALERTS
The app provides color-coded hypo and hyper alerts when your blood sugar readings are out of range.
SHARING RESULTS
Using the technology that exists on your mobile device, you can share your results with a loved one or your healthcare provider.

Requirements: iBGStar is compatible with the iPhone 3G / 3GS / 4 / 4S and iPod touch 2 / 3 / 4.
iBGStar is also compatible with the iPhone 5 or iPod touch 5 using an authentic Apple Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter (sold separately). The use of non-Apple adapters with iBGStar has not been tested and is not recommended. To sync readings with an iPhone 5 or iPod touch 5, begin by launching the iBGStar Diabetes Manager app. Then attach the Lightning Adapter to the iPhone/iPod touch BEFORE connecting iBGStar to the adapter.

iBGStar Diabetes Manager app requires iOS 4, 5, or 6. The app release 2.1.1 includes enhancements for iOS 6 and iPhone 5/iPod touch 5 compatibility.
