App Description
I, Friday is a tool for automating the process of creating lesson plans. It was created by a teacher to take care of the more mundane aspects of planning, freeing you to concentrate on more creative tasks.
I, Friday isn't just a grid onto which you can enter your plans. Its power lies in its ability to create much of the content for you. This automation is accomplished using templates and auto-increment lists.
Templates allow you to define what typical activities, time blocks, schedules, and weeks look like. You then use these templates to create plans. The templates outline the basic structure of your plans; you just need to fill in the details and exceptions.
Auto-increment lists provide a mechanism for planning a series of related lessons. You build a list of the lessons, then I, Friday will automatically place the next lesson on your plans.
I, Friday can share files with Plan Friday and PFReader.
I, Friday offers more than you get from using a word processing or spreadsheet program. Don't just use your computer to create lesson plans: Let I, Friday automatically generate much of the lesson plan content for you.
