This is the companion app for the graphic novel, BLACKGUARD.
This app allows the reader to interact with all of the augmented reality components embedded within the book. To get the full experience, download this app!
To activate the AR content:
- Open the app
- Graphic Novel pages with a Black base denote an AR interactive page
- With your device in portrait mode, use your device's camera from within the BLACKGUARD app to scan pages and interact with the Augmented Reality components
- "Social Media icons" may appear in the art. Tap on the icons on your device's screen to unveil additional content
- Some AR components may have audio. It is recommended to experience BLACKGUARD with volume up or with headphones
- Interact with all of the elements to get the full reading experience
It is recommended to turn your audio on to get the fullest experience.
If your audio does not play when you see the AR content appear, switch your phone off of silent mode.

About the book:
ALL MARCUS MARTIN WANTED TO DO was raise his son the way a good father would: play catch when they can, show him how to use a drill, teach him right from wrong. Marcus gave it his best for fourteen years and had finally gotten to a place where he could give his son, Elijah, the life he deserved.
But all of the years he promised to give him were stolen when a police officer shot Elijah in the back six times. After losing his only sense of meaning in this world, Marcus finds his purpose by preventing other parents from losing their kids to the same senseless violence he lost his to.
