Hi! We are John & Jackie Abston. Creators of the NOLA T-Shirt of the Month Club; a unique club where, each month, you get a fresh NOLA inspired tee delivered right to your door for just $15 a month + shipping. We do it all; from designing every shirt to screen printing everything in house. It all started with John’s crazy idea. He said “Jackie, I want to start a t-shirt business”. I immediately said “what?!? No way! We’re way too busy & you know nothing about making t-shirts”. But, with a little time we thought...why not! So, in 2015, John bought a screen printing starter kit & hit YouTube to learn how to screen print. I built the website & created a new Facebook business page. We took the leap in November 2015 & launched our first shirt! That month, we got our first 5 members! We were so excited & so nervous!! What did we get ourselves into?? LOL. In the beginning, John & I worked our “full time” jobs during the week & on the weekends we attended every local art market & festival we could get into! The side hustle was real. A day off...what did that mean? In March of 2018, we opened our 1st brick & mortar location on Magazine Street, which was recently voted the #1 New Retail Store in 2018 by Gambit Readers. We still do it all & our greatest t-shirt designs come to us usually over a bottle of wine (or two) & walking around our amazing city! We've learned a lot along the way & have met some amazing people that share the same love for this beautiful city that we do. And we honestly can’t wait to see what the future holds!!! Because, the truth is, every time we see someone in one of our t-shirts we getting all giddy!!
