App Description

GraphoGame is a fun, child-friendly tool that helps children learn letters and letter-sounds. The game is based on an academically studied methodology and has been developed by linguists, neuropsychologists and speech pathologists to help American English-speaking children, including struggling readers, train their first and most fundamental skills in literacy.

GraphoGame teaches children letters and rhymes, including their sounds, through a variety of levels with your own unique player character, or "avatar". The player gradually moves on to syllables, rhymes, short words and gradually learn to spell and pronounce longer words. By playing at least 15 minutes regularly, the child will improve their letter knowledge, pronunciation, reading speed and overall confidence in literacy. At the same time, the game helps parents and teachers by showing reports of how the child has learned and what letters are difficult, or easy!

GraphoGame was developed in cooperation with the University of Cambridge Centre for Neuroscience in Education and was researched in an efficacy trial funded by the Education Endowment Foundation and Wellcome Trust.
