This is a free community event, showcasing the wealth of on-water opportunities available on the Gosport peninsula and allowing people of all ages to have a go at a whole host of these
activities. The Festival will also focus on the young people of Gosport, highlighting the learning and career opportunities within the marine industry on the peninsula.

In addition to the 750 on the water taster sessions there are:
· Historic ships and Round the World Racing Yachts to visit in Haslar Marina
· Live entertainment in Timespace
· Little Ship Mates - kids club in Holy Trinity Church
· Nautical Art, Craft and Photography Fair in Holy Trinity Church
· Model Yacht / small person on the water activity at the Cockle Pond
· Food and drink outlets
· Onshore Exhibition and Showcase, this includes providers of the regions watersport activities and marine conservation

We are estimate 5000 visitors expected over 7 hours

Event objectives:
· Encourage young people and adults onto the water
· Discover how anyone can get on-board through water sports leisure facilities and clubs
· To introduce young people from Gosport to the possibility of careers
and employment in our marine sector
· Celebrate Gosport as the Home of Ocean Racing and Sail Training
