What is TruthForFree? I can tell you what it isn't... It isn't something you're likely to find in a Christian book store! The modern-day religious system is, so often, centered completely around money and frivolous distractions. On the one hand we have individuals claiming to be spokespersons for God, but on the other hand they intend to sell you His words. Such have turned Christianity into an enterprise that has more to do with regulating behavior through legalism than it does trust Christ Jesus as Lord of His people. They have turned something that Jesus presented in the context of relationship with God as Father into a profession, a business, and a tithe-sponsored social club.
This is NOT the Christianity that is represented by the early Christians we read about in the pages of the Bible. They demonstrated a life and a faith utterly void of religious concern, but wholly engaged in the active, daily pursuit of a genuine relationship with God... One that was not marked by religious lip-service, fascination with man-made temples, or participation in dry, boring liturgical routines and various kinds of pious-sounding legalism, but actual life-changing fellowship with the living Jesus, which spilled over into every other relationship and activity present in their daily lives. In those days, there were no "church buildings", there was only "the Church"; which is the Body of Christ (a SPIRITUAL assembly, comprised of all those who are born again and adopted into His Family).
Taking great inspiration from the testimony of those free and devoted early Christians, TruthForFree represents optimism for what true biblical Christianity can mean for those that have spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear – despite what stereotypical, institutional churchianity most often presents in contrast. This app is a portal to the content shared on TruthForFree.com, which purposes to offer a varied collection of writings and resources focused on a Christ-centered reality, not a religious one!
To all the followers of Jesus that have felt a disconnection and/or dissatisfaction with organized religion and who are weary of mere status-quot participation in a weekly routine that often feels lifeless, robotic, phony or just disappointing... or if you've ever struggled with confusion as to why you seemingly can no longer identify with or find enjoyment in the church routine... have you ever considered that what you might really be experiencing is the leading of the Holy Spirit? It may very well be that God is drawing you to Himself in a way that religion hasn't ever been able to satisfy.
It may surprise you that even the Bible reveals God's weariness with mankind's religious methods of trying to walk with Him (down their own path instead of His). Sometimes folks who are infatuated with religion often become so busy with their programs, their religious mindsets, and their agendas that they fail to hear the voice of the same Lord they claim to follow. Christ becomes little more than a mascot for them and ceases to be recognized as Lord and certainly not close friend. If you're at all like me, that kind of so-called "Christianity" just will not suffice anymore.
The good news (FOR ALL) is that there is life beyond religion! Abundant life in Christ Jesus! Life that doesn't require religious legalism to exist or thrive. Life that involves real fellowship that is trademarked by communion with the living Savior and members of His family, not by being a weekly slave of the pew, staring at the back of someone's head and nodding off to sermons you've heard a hundred times before.
This app provides a convenient portal to the content from the main website and also convenient access to the TruthForFree YouTube, SoundCloud and Facebook pages as well as access to free ebook downloads, links and other resources. The app is free, without ads, and there is no membership required.
